>Home Run Recipe: Honey Chicken Kabobs

Every household has their home run recipes, right? You know, those recipes that become a staple to your meals…the ones you can’t get enough of…the ones that everyone asks for the recipe for. Well this week, I’m going to share seven of our current Home Run Recipes. Here is Home Run Recipe number two.
This recipe is one I can’t get enough of. It’s easy to make, healthy, and delicious!

Honey Chicken Kabobs

1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 skinless boneless chicken breast- cut into cubes
2 cloves garlic (chopped up)
1 red onion
2-3 bell pepers

In a large bowl, whisk together oil, honey, soy sauce, and pepper.
Place the chicken, garlic, onions, and peppers in the bowl, and marinate in the fridge at least two hours (the longer the better.)

Preheat the grill for high heat

Drain and discard marinade. Thread chicken and veggies alternately onto the skewers.

Lightly oil grill grate. Place skewers on the grill and cook 12-15 minutes, until chicken is done.

Polly’s Tips
We like to add (NON marinated) mushrooms to our kabobs. Since they cook faster, we put them on their own skewer and take it off a little earlier than the chicken.
